Getting Started
Prerequisites
- ZoomInfo access (any SalesOS or Copilot subscription will work)
- MCP Client ( E.g: Claude or ChatGPT )
Setup
- Open your AI assistant's Settings → Connectors (or Integrations)
- Add a new MCP server connection
- Enter the ZoomInfo MCP server URL:

- Log in with your ZoomInfo credentials and approve permissions

Tips for Best Results
Be specific. Include details like job title, seniority, location, company size, and industry. "VP of Sales at SaaS companies in Boston with 200-500 employees" returns better results than "sales people."
Add context about your goal. When researching accounts, tell the AI what you're preparing for. "I have a demo with their CTO tomorrow" gets you more relevant context than "tell me about Acme Corp."
Start broad, then narrow. Not sure exactly what you need? Start with a general question, review the results, then ask follow-ups to drill into specifics.
Ask follow-up questions. The AI remembers your conversation. After finding contacts, ask "get me their email addresses" or "which of these have the highest accuracy scores?"
Understanding Credits

What counts as a data credit? You're charged one data credit each time you pull a new company or contact record. This credit covers any updates to that record for 12 months — so if you pull the same record again within that window, it's free.
What counts as an AI credit? We charge AI credits for "work done" by our AI agents. These include our Account & Contact Research agents, as well as Conversation Intelligence (coming soon). The credits charged vary depending on the depth and complexity of the task at hand.

Data & Privacy
- Encryption: All data transmitted via HTTPS
- Authentication: OAuth2 with industry-standard security
- Permissions: Access respects your ZoomInfo role-based permissions
- No storage: AI assistants do not permanently store ZoomInfo data

- Check that your subscription includes API access

- Try broader search criteria
- Verify your subscription covers the data type you're requesting
- Check your API usage limits in ZoomInfo settings
Authentication errors?
- Disconnect and reconnect the ZoomInfo connector
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Confirm your ZoomInfo account is active
Limited data showing?
- Some data requires higher subscription tiers
- Contact your ZoomInfo admin to verify your access level
